The proprietor, Ron Hogan, is a publishing insider and literary cyberspace pioneer who has been doing intelligent, Paris Review-style interviews with writers – famous and less so – since 1995. If you like John Banville, Madison Smartt Bell, Candace Bushnell, Gish Jen, Heidi Julavits, Richard Russo, Bernhard Schlink, and nearly 200 more writers, you’ll find them speaking at length here. The blog is an offshoot of the collected interview site. Hogan, currently director of e-marketing for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, blogs mostly about new books and their authors.
